Co-Founder, Elaine Shiu, Receives Entrepreneurship Award

On the 29th of September, Ejj Jewellery’s co-founder, Elaine Shiu, received the Asia-Pacific Entrepreneurship Award at JW Mariott Hotel in Hong Kong. She received the award for her work with Ejj Jewellery.

The award is a regional award for outstanding entrepreneurship built on the idea that for entrepreneurs to continue innovate, sustain leadership and excel, there must be an emphasis on 3 key factors: benchmarking against best practices, a recognition of past and current efforts, and continued publicity and public attention.

The APEA provides a real platform for companies and governments to recognise and be recognised for entrepreneurial excellence. Overall, it’s a prestigious and world-class award recognizing and honoring business leaders who have shown outstanding performance and tenacity in developing successful businesses within the region.

What’s even more impressive was the fact that Ms. Shiu was by far the youngest recipient, and she was one of only two females to receive an award at the night. The other female recipient was the Hong Kong national celebrity Angela Leong On Kei who received the award “Entrepreneur of the Year” for her work with Sociedade de Jogos de Macau.

In her winning interview Ms. Shiu expressed a memorable quote that serves as inspiration to us all. She said:

“Winners never quit, and quitters never win. If you have a dream, follow it, do it, achieve it. You don’t want to be full of regret in the future for not having tried”
